Strontium hydroxide
「Performance Characteristics」:
The physicochemical properties of strontium hydroxide are colorless crystals or white powders.The density is 1.9g/cm3, the melting point is 375℃, and the boiling point is 710℃(decomposition). Easy to deliquescence, absorbs carbon dioxide into carbonate in the air, and can lose seven molecules of crytalline water in dry air. Easily soluble in hot water and acids, also soluble in ammonium chloride solution, and soluble in cold water.
「Function」:
1. Strontium hydroxide is widely used in the refining and processing of beet sugar in Europe. It forms an insoluble disaccharide salt, which is separated and refined. When carbon dioxide is introduced, the sugar is released and insoluble strontium carbonate is generated; 2. Also used as a stabilizer for polyethylene plastics; 3. Can be used to improve the dryness of dry oils and paints; 4. used for producing strontium lubricating wax and various strontium salts.
